Page 1 of Going to NYC again to do my Xmas Shopping...anybody have any ideas on Bargains???

My yearly jaunt across the pond is nearly here and although I`m pretty much the Connoisseur when it comes to Stateside shopping, ther`s no harm in getting some pointers from fellow Bargain Royalty.

I`m going to hit Woodberry Commons for all my outlet needs, C21 for nicnacs, BestBuy/JandR for Electronics (as well as buying before flying at Amazon.com).

However I was wondering if there was anything new/old/off the radar you might want to recommend?? also, can anyone tell me if there are decent bargain sites out there in Yankie Doodle Land (you know like our very own Bargain Bucket Forums or HotUKDeals.com type of thing)????

Why do I feel there is an element of contradiction in that title??

Travelling all the way to another continent to look for cheaper Xmas gifts?? :-D

Always find florida a whole lot cheaper to shop than NYC, specially when u factor in flight and especially hotel prices then a lil cheaper again, Oh and its warm instead of freezing lol

Actually it`s a trip to see friends and have a general p***-up with some shopping on the side. Got the flight thru Zoom for £98.75 return inc taxes (economy going out and premium economy coming back) - got that one from HotUKDeals.com - a truly cheap vacation with a 2-1 exchange rate - V. Nice!



PS - Yet Miami is nice enough - but i`m staying with friends - so I save in the long run.

you better off going to New Jersey no sales tax on clothes there :p

Thanks Ella, but Bloomberg removed sales tax from clothes in NYC a few years back, so no reason to venture into New Jersey (unless you`re watching the Giants play ball).

They removed the mistake - but you can still get a return premium economy flight for £198 - £238 inc taxes (and yes, that`s premium economy with code "NYUpgrade")
