Seriously, what`s the bloody point?

Pete-MK (Elite Donator) posted this on Saturday, 15th December 2007, 19:24

What is the point of Channel 5 showing Gremlins at this time of day if all they`re going to do is butcher the hell out of it so the ending makes no sense whatsoever? As far as I could tell, Stripe got slightly dazzled by the light at the end, and fell into the water. If I hadn`t seen the film before, I`d have wondered why they`d left him in there to multiply...

Thought the same Stantz. Okay, I`ve got it on DVD, but what`s the point in cutting so excessively?

Oh dear, if only I`d done a search to find those other threads. Oh, that`s right, I did, and there weren`t any... :p

I thought some-one had moaned about Gremlins being cut on TV, but I couldn`t find the thread either, and got bored trying to use google to find it.

But HMV £3.99 for Gremlins 1 and 2, free delivery, you should get it in time for next Christmas.

Got mine for virtually the same last Christmas from HMV. This year I`ve already picked up Scooby Doo S1 & 2 for £11... 8)

Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn...

And those who laugh will surely fall,
And those who know will always feel their backs against the thin wall...

Good price for both, but the R1 release has way more extras. Definitely getting Gremlins in HD when it`s available - my favourite Christmas film :)

I complained about it last year as I sat with my 7 year old step daughter and watched, it was so heavily cut I didn`t mind her watching it. Can`t find the thread though!? :/

Is that the time? Damn you Xbox 360!!!!
