What a load of old tosh!

Made out to be CSI meets Raiders Of The Lost Ark, but completely clueless.

I mean, my expertise in archaeology is down to watching Time Team since the beginning but some of the gaffes they came up with both technically and in their reasoning made sci-fi technobabble sound like Nobel prizewinning reasoning.

And wasn`t it sailing a bit close to the wind with the Christian-Muslim aggro?

I`m still in disbelief that this got past the script-reading stage, let alone onto prime-time TV. Naff acting, ludicrous plot, corny lines.

And yet, it was so bad, I found myself unable to take my eyes off the screen. And the SPOILER:
beheading scene - destined to go down as a comedy classic!

why take life so seriously..its not like you are going to make it out alive

Really dissapointed with this especially after the big build up. How can they do one story a week with a simple sub text or plot revolving around the woman and her mother? It seems to be a case of let`s throw in a bit of everything that`s contemporary at the moment. Shame none of it sticks.

Camp, cheesy hammed up plots and acting. Will give it a go next week just to see if it gets any better. Got the feeling this is worse than the US remake of Life on Mars!

I`ll be surprised if this makes it to the end of its run. I thought Torchwood was stupid, but Bonekickers is a whole order of magnitude dumber.

If it had been made with any semblance of a sense of humour, it might have worked, but it had nothing going for it - terrible writing, terrible acting, no chemistry among the characters. Real train wreck television. The really really shocking thing is this televisual turd was written by the team who created Life On Mars. If Chris Chibnall (responsible for some of the worst Torchwood scripts) had come up with this one... but you know something, even Chibber`s Cyberwoman script was genius compared with this show. I shall never complain about Torchwood or Primeval again.

The only characters with any possibility of working were Hugh Bonneville`s "Dolly" Parton and Gugu Mbatha-Raw`s Viv, who might work on their own as a Dr Who/ Assistant partnership. Otherwise, Adrian Lester and Julie Graham are planks, and the less said about Michael Maloney`s disreputable Prof the better. He`d have been run out of any reputable academic establishment.

What gets me is the show`s supposed to be set at Wessex Archaeology, which is Phil Harding`s day job.

It was bugging me when I was watching it last night as I couldn`t put my finger on exactly what show it reminded me of. You`re right, it was like Primeval, only worse. And that`s a sentence I never thought I`d come out with, I can tell you.

And who thought that Paul Nicholls could ever out-ham his fruit-loop character in Eastenders. But he did. With bells and whistles on.

Can`t wait for next week. It`s rivetting in a kind of perverted, sick way.

It has rave reviews on the BBC website! ;) ;)
