American comedian dies

Bernie Mac, the actor and comedian who teamed up in the casino heist caper "Ocean`s Eleven" and gained a prestigious Peabody Award for his sitcom "The Bernie Mac Show," died Saturday at age 50

"Actor/comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital," his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement from Los Angeles.

A sad loss of a very funny man :( and a shock to many im sure

Very sad, but not really a funny man. But comments such as these can wait. RIP

I`m shocked. 50 is no age for anybody to die - especially not somebody with means from something like pneumonia, in the wealthiest country in the world.

VERY SAD! he was a very funny man, enjoyed him, just the other night I was watching him on tv n he made me giggle.I must thank him for that, so I will say a little prayer for him.

It wasn`t pneumonia but "compliecations caused by pneumonia"...usually code for something else.
