Page 1 of What happened to Jetman and his English channel crossing ?

I set up my sky plus to record this yesterday, and I got nothing !

Was it cancelled, did he chicken out, I mean flying that strp-on wing with two jets seems slightly dangerous :D

Is it going to be a go-er, as I am so looking forward to him crashing, opps, sorry, getting across to france, he, he.

I believe I saw on this morning`s news, that he is hoping to go for it today.

Going by all the weather forecasts, it`s a definite go for today.
I admire this bloke (Yves Rossy) immensely, I`ve been following his achievements for years.
Balls of steel, but without being a `look at me` type. 8)
He`s also sponsored by Hublot, who make some of the coolest watches around.
I would kill for a Hublot Luna Rossa.
If only I had around £7600.... :/ :D
Even fake ones are £400! :D

I would also love to be able to get one of his wings, which he plans to put into production once he can perfect the vertical take-off (you need to jump out of a plane at the moment).
Again though, highly unlikely I`ll ever be able to afford one.

I`d have done it for one of those watches.

If he`d done that ten years ago, they`d have hired him for the next Bond movie.

These days he`ll have to settle for Lara Croft probably.
