I ordered 100 x Maxell DVD-Rs
And was sent +Rs; not compatible with my panny
Anyway, I emailed Play.
They have said they will send out the correct order but want me to return a hefty 100 disc spindle pack by special delivery. Now, methinks this will cost me about as much as the discs cost post free in the first place (£11.99 - which is why I ordered).
Has anyone any experience of this?
I would have thought a pre-paid label like Amazon (used to) do would be in order.
And yes, deffo their mistake I have the order and e mail saying dvd-r but it`s dvd+r on the unopened box.
I returned a faulty `gadget` earlier in the year but also had to pay the return postage. I emailed them and sent them a receipt for the postage and they reimbursed me. It would be easier all round if they sent a pre-paid box/envelope.
Likewise I received an incorrect item from them once, posted back to them, and they refunded postage.
Another system that works better is one I had to use for an Amazon marketplace seller wo sent me the wrong item, where the return address was a freepost one, so didn`t even have to go to post office, get a receipt etc :)
I recently ordered some memory for my laptop. Instead they sent me a poh-pooing reindeer :/ . Anyway a quick email to them and they asked that I sent the item back recorded which I did. The day after I received the correct item and also an email from them saying they would refund postage and also the price of the memory. :D
Very happy with Play.com and will continue to use them. Have ordered over 50 items and this was their first mistake.
Legally they have to refund the cost of the postage for an incorrect item under the Distance Selling Regulations.
Play.com = worst customer care in the world. I recently sold an xbox 360 via their playtrade section. The buyer later claimed it was faulty but refused to return it for 31 days where it turned out to be working perfectly. Play decided the buyer could still have a refund without me agreeing and their terms saying they shouldn`t have a refund so play took £130 from my credit card without my consent and are still saying it was justified even though trading standards say it wasn`t.
The saga goes on via my credit card claim.
My 1st thought was I didnt know they had been away :)
I`ve give up on the Maxell DVD-Rs from Play.com
Always check that they give you a full refund.
They have short changed me on several occasions in regards to returned discs.
