And why is Phlilip Glenister trying to do an American accent? I will give it a couple of episodes to see if it gets going.
dire unfunny remake of Buffy-needs more laughs, less of the blind girl who isnt and if its not asking too much how about a little tension in the plot? what a waste of a great nose?
Why no Jokes about his nose-they could have re used all the ones from Roxanne.
Everybody who was anybody got vapourised-they should have vapourised the teenagers
:p
I was ready to switch off 1/2 way through but missus wanted to watch it to the end and watch next weeks to see if it improves. She never watched Buffy.
I`m assuming Philip Glenister is American due to US funding? Probably wanted a US star, or at least have a pretend US star like Hugh Lawrie in House? The fact that various locations spread roudn London were in spitting distance and most shots had the mayor`s building or another landmark in shot lend weight to that theory ;)
Never saw it, but seems to be in the same vein as Primeval. (without hannah in her knickers)

I can watch Primeval - Unlike Torchwood it does improve (* & **).
* It`s rare I can honestly state that about any ITV Sci-Fi (homegrown or imported) since Timeslip.
** I especially liked the end of series 1 "Camp 1", which they discovered in Episode 1 a la "We have been here before".
I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.
When fishermen catch dolphin-friendly tuna, how do they know which tuna are being friendly to dolphins?
