DVD Rentals on the net?

James Clews (Competent) posted this on Wednesday, 8th November 2000, 23:02

Hey has anybody rented a DVD over the internet? I saw one site which looked really good. www.movietrak.com.

Just wanted to know the positive and negative aspects.

Oh yeah does anybody know if Schindlers List is coming out soon

Cheers JC

Dunno how much your site is charging but try http://www.encoredirect.co.uk who offer 7 days DVD rental for £3.75.

Pass on Schindler`s...

I`ve used both www.movietrak.com and www.ukdvdrentals.co.uk. Both have good selection and delivery is quick. movietrak charges £3.49 incl return postage - ukdvdrentals is just £2.75 incl. return postage (both for 7 days rental). I`ve rented quite a few titles with no problems. Much better than Blockbusters because you get plenty of time to watch the special features. Then just stick the disc back in the return paid enveloped and send it back. I`d defintely recommend either of them.

I can recommend movietrak.. they`re great. And the mailers they send the DVD`s out in double as a pre-paid return envelope, nice n easy! If anything a minus would be their fairly-limited stock.

Thanks for the advice. I think I`ll give it a go.
