Im going to be walking around London in my bra!
Yes you read the heading right :D
Just found out Ive got a place on the Playtex Moonwalk in May next year in aid of Breast Cancer.
Ill be slogging my (hopefully by then not quite so fat) arse around 26 miles so any tips re training etc will be gratefully received! Link for sponership will follow of course but if anyone can help/advise Id really appreciate it.
Always wanted to do a marathon and as much as I know this wont be as challenging as running it I am still seeing it as a major challenge to me.............also Im beginning to think I must be mad but hey something to cross of my list before the big 4-0 hits in August ;)

I hope you plan on taking plenty of photos of the event and posting them here!
My traing largely consists of eating mince pies at the moment so I`m no help to you sorry. Good luck though and I hope it`s not cold that day for your sake! Then again a nice chill might make those photos more interesting still!

As for training... Walking would be good. If like me you spend most of your life sat behind a PC screen, it comes as a surprise how hard it is to walk! I decided to lose some of my gut a couple of months ago and started walking a few weeks ago to help shift it.
First day walking I was knackered after 3 miles! Anyway, as my goal is weightloss, I`m walking six days a week, one day to recover, you may not need to do so much. But the point is that three weeks in, I managed 8 miles one day without absolutely killing myself. I think if you are going to work your way up to 26 miles, you may want to start with walking a couple of months before if you`re a total lardass like me, or if you are already active, maybe a month or six weeks. Buld up to it.

Light jogging is good as well don`t go mental and make sure you have good shoes if you are going to jog. Work your way up to about 10km you will feel very healthy when you can do that.
Alternatively if you just want to walk join a ramblers club and if you have time on a weekend morning climb a hill or something with them.
It`s just much more fun to have company when your walking. Otherwise get an ipod.

Drink more and in bigger pubs hence the more often and longer walks to the bar. :)
Check out the London Marathon site, last time I checked there were loads of training links.
I`m sure there`s plenty on here who will keep you company for any dress (undress) rehersals.

Good luck
In the past I have paid ladies to take off their bras, so this makes a refreshing alternative

My mate did that with her husband this year. Good luck. Be sure to post up a link to your sponsorship page - I`ll chuck a fiver your way. :)

Fellers, we all need to stop getting excited. I`ve seen one of hese things before and they all stroll around with the bra worn over the sweater, more layers than an onion.
