`The Times` Internet pay walls - the death of the intenet - No ?
Well the Tmes are trialing `pay to view` news this week,
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/8720282.stm
Do you think this will this lead to eventual paying for all website content ?
People like myself who are `never pay diehards` for any web content while other sites are free, will it cause them to leave ?
Is it a sneaky way to try and destroy the western freedom of the internet through cost, rather than the obvious chinese method of censureship.
Or will pay walls die a death, like they did before, re: artical above, and free website content will prevail.
Long live free internet content (ie, free after you have paid your internet provider of course :D )

The New York Times recently trialled a `pay to view` service on it`s news website a few months ago.
it died on its arse. completely.
The internet is the home of free exchange of information, no matter how exclusive you think your news is, someone else will report it for free within 5 minutes
I`m still astounded that people pay for porn sites

With the times even if they get 100 people paying is that not going to make the site better value than 1,000,000 free visitors? Unless the ad revenue works differently or they have paid links that people used to click through.
