Walking out on a job. Where do i stand.

The Mobile Dr42%er (Elite) posted this on Thursday, 28th October 2010, 09:18

I have had enough of being spoke to like a piece of **** and being blamed for things that are not my fault.

Having never spent a day out of work or claimed a penny I am a bit clueless. But am I guessing right that if I politely tell them to shove their poxy ****ing job up their unless ****ing arses, I am screwed and on my own?

there is some legal thing where if people are forcing you to leave you can sue them.

I`d do that to the f***ers.

edit. realised that that wasnt the answer you were looking for. I would guess that benefits wise the odds would be against your favour.

My advice is, get a 16yr old pregnant

I`m afraid that`s how some jobs & people are, you really must try to stick with it untill you find a more suitable job. If you just leave, I`m pretty sure you can`t claim a thing.

Won`t be able to claim a penny if you walk out

Could try an independant tribunal under "Constructive Dismissal" - good luck with that one though

Best bet is to stick witht the job whilst looking for another

Thanks all. My problem is I don`t actually work for them, I work for a company that is contracted to them. But I know my company won`t back me up as they would be scared of losing the contract.

My other option is to tell my company that if I am to take the **** for other peoples **** ups, then I want the pay. Create a supervisors role. Have already told them to look for another site for me.

Much like RJS.
Self employed all my life (well nearly) and I suspect any reference may contain `does not play well with others`.
But only true where others are complete d*ckheads which is all to frequently these days.

Must be some kind of advice available from some guv industrial relatiions dept.
Off P*ssed maybe

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary
