Car Insurance and Road Tax stitch up!

After being tucked up for £30 `Admin charge` for change of vehicle details and finding out the 6 months road tax refunds carry a 10% `Admin charge` (nice touch when your skint) I went about finding something to cheer me up.

Been looking for this for ages. I remember the day it happen and had to pull over due to hysterical giggling! If you like/miss Mark and Lard`s humour here`s a little snippet..

I`ve just managed to forget my car insurance direct debit and be £1.67 short when it went through earning myself a £6 charge from the bank to bounce the direct debit and a £30 charge from the insurer for the payment being late.  I then realised I`d forgotten to tell them I`d moved, and when I did managed to rack up another £77.10 worth of charges, which at least I can spread over the remainder of the direct debits.

Anyone wanna buy my car?

Seems to be a bandwagon all organisations seem very happy to climb onto these days, all the budget airlines with their "admin" charges for using a debit card - pray tel how else you are supposed to pay them? - "extra" for this "extra" for that - insurance companies (whether it be your home, house or pet etc etc) have the audacity to charge you premium rates to call them (note its always a free 0800 number to join - but but have a minor query or try and correct them on a cock up they might have made and up come the 0845 numbers) and then add £30.00 or so to just change your address details? - this entails what kind of rocket science? - robbery pure and simple, clichet that with "rip off britain".

It really depresses me that most if not all of these major companies have forgotten the people that matter the most... their customers.

Ordered tickets for Rush at Sheffield next year. There was the usual handling/admin charge. Think it was £7, but then £17 for the card transaction!
The same transaction that shops don`t charge for.

Got mine too Andy. :) £83.
Had to pay the £7 or so PER TICKET too - but not the other charge...
Heard it yet?  Didn`t do it for me on first listen..  Unlike Snakes and Arrows..

It was an 0870 number :( But to be fair, for that £30 she was on the phone for a whopping great 8 minutes and 30 seconds because I had my policy number not my customer reference so she had to look me up by my postcode (for which I apparently needed to be on hold for 4 minutes 37 seconds...I was really bored, having already been passed from department to department by Zurich)...I really challenged her, not to mention the fact that they have to issue a new insurance certificate, which must cost a fortune to print and post second class...worth every penny lol.

The new album is a bit intense, but its definately a grower. I find all my favourite albums are.

I`ve never heard a mix as bad. :(  No treble and muffled bass and drums.  Staggered. :(   Vapor Trails all over again. :(
Don`t get how it can happen (again) to to a band with such attention to detail.
(sorry about the off-topic comments..)
