Page 1 of Lexmark printer.....help me !!!

I realise that this is not dvd related but I need some help.

I have a Lexmark Z31 inkjet colour printer. Yesterday, for some unknown reason, this printer has decided to stop printing.

The printer itself is going through all the motions etc when asked to print, but the paper comes out blank. I have got ink in the cartridges so it can`t be that, besides the colour tends to deteriorate when the ink is low and this hasn`t happened. If someone could help me before I have to (sigh...not the easiest thing to do!!!) try and get any sense out of Tiny computers I would be grateful.

Have you tried Lexmark help pages on www.lexmark.co.uk.? If the answer is not there they offer e.mail reply service . It may be faster than Tiny computers

Try cleaning, it should have a box marked clean print heads on the software you installed. (read your instruction manual )

Well then either your cartridge is broke or empty, or whatever sends info to the print heads is not working! I think the print heads are built into the cartridge on Lexmark, so try another cartridge expensive but what else!

Isuppose you could reload your software again.

Hi ..had the same problem with my lexmark z11. I unistalled the software and then re-installed it. I now have a working printer!

I have uninstalled/re-installed the software/drivers but alas the damn thing don`t wanna co-operate. Also logged my problem with Lexmark (tried all the troubleshooting guides on their site), so I`ll wait for their response.

But, I suppose I`m gonna have to spend a lot of time & money trying to get Tiny/Time (as if these two companies weren`t incompetent enough on their own) to get off their arses and do something about it. I have a four year warranty cover with Tiny who have been taken over by Time who have informed me that the warranty is not really their responsibilty anymore (it was taken out with Tiny!!!!)...even though I have still got two more years left on my extended cover. I think I may seek advice from CAB regarding that little excuse.
