DVDS ON EBAY

Why do people pay more for dvd films on ebay, than they could obtain the films from play etc? Is it the excitement of bidding in an auction means they get carried away?

Undoubtedly. I`ve been guilty of this myself (not with DVDs though). If you don`t set yourself an upper limit it`s very easy to go overboard!

I agree with you. I sometimes feel like e:mailing these people and letting them know they`re paying over the odds.

But there again, if they haven`t got the intelligence.....

even more idiotic are those who pay for multi-region hack instructions that are available free on numerous websites, including here!

someone was auctioning a url to some laptop files earlier today and had received bids!

i love ebay!

it basically gives me the option to get a dvd from play. decide i don`t like it, then sell it on with a few quid profit :D

my favourite ebay moments are when people advertise the BOX for something big (ie. Xbox) then it sells for £200-300

Heh heh heh. Wherever there is ignorance, some people see it as an opportunity to share knowledge. Others see it as an opportunity to make a tidy little profit ;-)

You have to admire their nerve, if nothing else...

Thanks

chris

I think he means that he can buy a dvd from play247.com and after he`s watched it if he doesn`t like it he can just sell it on ebay.

Someone was selling his ADSL wall socket on there. It got up to about £40. Not bad for a useless piece of kit.

I printed out a copy of the Knitting Pattern for the ITV Digital Monkey and sold it on ebay, It sold v.quick so I sold about another 200, all at £1 a piece, made a tidy little sum and increased my DVD collection :))

Shaun

Oh, and it helped inscrease my feedback too
