There seemed to be a lot of push back against Johnson using him for publicity.
I had no intention of following Johnson's stage management,
opened the car window at the allotted time parked up at a quiet residential intersection.

I think we are past 'the clapping and banging on tin pots' stage.
We gave him the traditional 2 minutes, as was fitting of his life & rank.
This whole 'clapping' thing is too forced and is more at home in football stadiums, where there's more likely to be some idiots trying to ruin the moment.

Must admit, I did clap. But I was at the self checkout at Lidl at the time with ther machine going off behind me "please scan your next item" :D
