Encore DV450; Yamaha DSPA-5 amp; Mission FS2-AV: Good set-up?

As a home cinema virgin with a Thompson 32" w/screen and Akai VCR I have decided it is time to upgrade my cinematic experience with the purchase of the above gear.

Encore DV450:- because it`s multi-region, cheap, appears to have minimal problems

Yamaha amp:- because it`s the dogs danglies for the price

Mission FS2`s: because the missus won`t let me take over the lounge with floor standing towers( or anything else for that matter!)

Anyone think of a better (almost future-proof) set up for around £1300

Dream combination matey.

I have the 450 and the A5 twinned up via coax digi cable and the two were made for each other. The sound on well recorded discs (eg Heat, Ronin, Underworld Live) is out of this world.

And that`s just with crappy little JPW monitors (and an Eltax sub).

I can imagine Mish will make it sound FANTASTIC - go for it !!!

Cheers Clayts,

That`s the kind of reassurance I need before forking out the hard-earned dosh!
