Thailand - the land of smiles.....

after just completing my third trip to thailand, i just felt the urge to insist on you all paying the place a visit. for me this is THE best place in the world!!! whether its nightlife, food, entertainment, shopping its got it. and most importantly - cheap!!! the most relevant part here being shopping and entertainment. movies come out there around the same time as the US and cost around a pound for a s***-hot theatre. whilst there for instance i saw resident evil, although it was a complete bag of s***e!!!
then theres the shopping. whether its clothes, souvenirs, dvds, video games its all there. i bought several football shirts, although theyre copies, but the differences are unoticable! i also brought back several dvda all costing around £3 and jap GC games which cost around £20. so - a shoppers paradise, get your asses out there..........!!!!!!

You`ve convinced me - I`m off to Amazon to order the "Rough Guide to Thailand" as we speak ;-)

What are the air fares like, generally speaking?

usually around £400. but out there is dirt cheap i got a 3 hour taxi ride for £12!!!!! good hotels you can get for £4 a night. i styaed in 4 and 5 stars for under a tenner a night. although the rough guide would say otherwise, the best place in thailand is definately pattaya. awesome place!

i stayed in thailand for two months on my way to Australia and hated the place, sure it has amazing beaches, but its dirty everyone hassles you and its a very sordid place. Cheap Prostitutes and half dead dogs on the street not my thing i guess. It is worth seeing once though just for the difference in culture
