The Sex Pistols re-releasing "God Save The Queen" and touring again : sell out
Siouxsie and the Banshees doing the "Seven Year Itch Tour" : excellent.

Sell out :As in no more tickets or Johnny `I`m gonna be dead before I`m 30` Rotten selling out (again) and cashing in on Her Maj`s Jubilee...
What next? Oh I know, Let`s release the movie `Jubilee` in a special edition, or how about the Great Escape as a limited....no, we`ve done that.
Got to have something to watch when we get knocked out in the second round I `spose.....
So predictable.

Selling out? Paying the bills, more like!
Here`s John Lydon`s own take on the "sell out" question (from this month`s Q magazine).
Q: "I was a huge Pistols fan in the 70s, but lost all respect for you with the reunion. How can you really defend it, John?"
A: "The reunion was all about getting paid, because we never were paid up to that point. We always left our bills unpaid - not deliberately. That reunion tour really paid back a lot of people that were owed money."
"And I`ve gotta say this - go f**k yourself if you think I don`t have the right to make money, because my level of work is f**king far superior to your opinion of my money."
I say: good point! Maintaining your status as a "punk icon" (as defined by comfortably off Guardian readers and NME feature writers, not by the "punks" themselves) is all very well, but it doesn`t exactly pay off your debts. More power to Johnny for saying so.

Retro, Retro, Retro. Reinvent, Recycle, regurgitate every thing........over and over again ! !
I was a teenager in `79, I loved the Pistols and the Stranglers. they were young, fresh, very new and DIFFERENT. But these days ?
Do me a favour. Wheres their pride ? Come on Johnny, you WERE great but please say die ! Its embarrasing, please leave us alone.
That said, maybe you could do a cover of `Unchained Melody` It always gets the No1 slot.
But then again MOST people love rushing to buy whatever they are told is hip for that day, week or month. The mohican is back (must get one.) It will go with my new Mini or VW Beetle. Which reminds me, I must get my new brown cords out the boot. Before I go to see the 2002 remake of Rollerball or Death Race 2000....................... SHEEP ! ! !
Can we go FORWARD please ?
Thanks for calling.
