England will be lucky to qualify in 3rd place - I had Sweden down for a draw today or to win 2 -1.

I can`t see England beating the Argies and only a draw against Nigeria is likely too ......

Still might help save us getting 2 hours of ENGLAND ENGLAND on the telly every day ...... he he he...

mind you it took them 7 minutes into the game to mention 1966 last night .......that must have been on page two of the script !

Sven will have learnt from todays mistakes and will fix them. He should make Joe Cole start, take off hargreaves and vassell and also bring in trevor sinclair who can play right wing back or left midfield.
We can beat argentina. They are only human and they only just beat nigeria. We can also easily beat Nigeria. Why are you all thinking negatively. Get behind the team.

England shouldn`t have bothered going to Japan once Stevie Gerard pulled out.

I don`t agree, the England team aren`t nearly as bad as you people make out. I wish we`d all spend more time supporting the team rather than slating them, look at all the other supposed big nations drawn in muppet groups of woeful sides, totaly friggin fixed. Yesterday we played the team with the strongest recent form going into the competition, and contrary to what alot of people may think, I thought we should & could have won the game, dispite playing poorly. We`ll lose to Argentina, but that said, so will Sweden and every other team they come across in the competition, we go through with four-points on goal-difference. Coming out of this group would be one hell of a coup, and I`d tip us to beat France & progress maybe as far as the semis.

One thing the English have always excelled at is flying in the face of adversity. I personally feel we will do Argentina, after the poor performance against Sweden.

And then draw with Nigeria... ;-)
