Question About the All-Time Best Gremlins

gdamn (Harmless) posted this on Friday, 3rd June 2005, 15:42

Maybe it`s just me, but it seems like if you want to have a chance at making the all-time best list, or at least getting anywhere near the top of that list, you need to roll with a Low Strength gremlin and pump all your points into Stamina and Dexterity. I assume this is because doing it that way helps ensure that your fights last all 20 rounds and that you get the most points possible out of each fight. Where as with having very High Strength, fights tend to not go near as many rounds and you get less overall points from each fight. It seems to me that this issue should be addressed in some way to help even out the points that are gained from either play-style. Perhaps winning a fight in under 10 rounds would award a bonus to the victor. Maybe that`s not a good idea, I`m not sure. But it just strikes me as odd that all the top gremlins have very low strength. When I see that, it makes me think that the stats are not balanced. Thoughts?

100% correct.

But I can`t see a better way of dishing out the points.

Giving bonuses for quick wins would just make it more likely that the top Grems would ignore each other and pick on the newborns.
