Murfitt terminated

I`m not going to be a whipping boy to let those with huge strength gain huge amounts of XP so have just terminated Murfitt.

Until this rules s*** is sorted I won`t be creating any more.

Winning 16 rounds of a fight got me 21 points, mu opponent got over 70 for the 4 he won .... that is completely unfair and until it`s sorted the game can rot as far as I`m concerned.

So you are agreeing that the new set of rules are unfair then are you?

Nice effect they are having as well, 1st time I`ve ever been able to look at the league and fit it all on one page.

I think the problem is the change in rules for us "mid gremlin", rather than the rules themselves. So I bit the bullet, took the low XP, built up the strength and got back in there.
Once you have a more evenly statted gremlin, things are very different, so don`t give up on the new rules. Although I do wonder if the allocation of points should be done both on the number of rounds won as well as the damage inflicted.

P.S. I think RJS was responding to Jan`s "It`s all conkers if you`ve got no string." signature - Jan - you might like to put a line as the first bit of your sig so it doesn`t look like part of your post. ;)

It wasn`t far off before I did change it, and its been going that way for a while, so if you think it is because of the "rule change" then you are as sadly mistaken as you are that you`ll be missed. ;-)

I have to say, without sounding all brown-nosed, that these changes are what this game needed. I think about 20 people migrated here from SLH, and frankly I reckon you could count those still interested on one hand. I`d like to see them come back, along with others, to play this game without the silly guarantees it once had.

This is a fun little daily distraction and I totally approve of changing the rules intermittently to effect different strategies and gameplans. There is no "perfect" system, and I hope it keeps getting tweeked. It keeps things fresh.

And as for those of you moaning about the timing of the rules changes: get used to it. Use the gremlin you have now to work out what you need to do to be the best, don`t just bitch like a 7 year old and threaten to quit. Unless you really are a loser, that is.

Well said! I agree about changing the rules - I was getting fed up of being almost forced into the low strength/high stam+dex route as the only way to get matches. It`s a shame that a lower strength route can`t now offer some reward, but I`m sure someone will find a way!

Life is not meant to be fair.
Those of us than can adapt to the ups and downs and changes will survive.
Those that can't or wont adapt die. Its as simple as that.
Good luck for you future
