Hi,

I am looking for multi region hack for the LG DVD5253.

I have found out that the following resets the setting of the player:

Press `Setup` on the remote and highlight the "TV Aspect" option. Place the cursor over the "16:9 Wide" option and then press `1`, `3`, `9`, `7`, `1`, `3`, `9` followed by `Enter`.

Cool, I`ll add it to the list of players. Thanks for trying it :-)

once you`re in the system information setting how do you ammend any of the details? We can not ammend the region number, every time we try to ammend the settings it throws us out of system information and back to the menu.

Please help!!!

It is read only info so cannot be amended, Why not just use the hack????

is that a definete the hack works by burning it onto cd- im lookin to buy this dvd player so i need to know wheter it works or not and whtere it is actually any good or not- whats teh quality of it like and ease of use etc as i cant find any reviews for it.????????????
