does anyone know ``if`` there is a hack for

sony davs400
sony davs500
sony mhcs9d

all of which I am considering purchasing, but I can not find hacks for.

Or if anyone knows of a dvd 5.1 player that has an optical input (for sky plus) that might help too (that ``is`` multiregion, or hackable)

I think I`m right in saying that Sony players cannot be hacked (along with several other of the top name brands). Your only option is to have them `chipped`. Plenty of companies on the net will do this - e.g. http://www.multi-region.co.uk

There is no hack Salem!
But you can buy them already chipped from various dealers (What Video mag) which is the cheapest and most hassle free option.
