Can someone please tell me the answer why when i copy from dvd player to video some films copy in colour and some in Black and Whte please help i am useing a Rowa dvd player its plays dvds and vcds great just this problem.

Are you by any chance finding the ones that record in black and white are Region 1 ? You should be.... This is because your VCR cannot record raw NTSC signals from a Region 1 disc : it`s a different TV system.

If so, you need to coax your player into emitting a converted PAL picture (probably a set up menu option or remote button push : select PAL from the TV SYSTEM or similar).

thank you clayts tried going into the menu on dvd no joy will keep at it still no joy dont seem to have a tv system option its a rowa 280 dvd any help would be appreciated
