Page 1 of APEX AD-1100WB - Erm, help!?!

Hey there! I`m thinking about buying this DVD Player on Saturday, depending on funds, and if you guys can help me! This si the model currently on sale in ASDA for £69.87...Right, well, to quote the manufacturer, "Plays DVD-SVCD-VCD--CD-CD/R-CD/RW-MP3 CD". I was wondering if this would all be standard, or would this require a hack to enable these features. And I could also do with a Multi-Region hack for this model too, if anyone can help me out there. It`s a bit sketchy as to whether this player is multi region. Better going for the Alba 108 at Argos for the same price. Multi region out the box - no hack required

I`ve got the Region 1 version. They`re on special for 60 dollars in Circuit City and I think 68 dollars in Walmart on this side of the pond.
Obviously they do sell it in more than one region, so there must be some way to hack it! Good Luck.
It does seem to need the discs to be absolutely clean or it `sticks` -you get what you pay for I suppose.
PS: The region 1 model does play all the other types of discs without doing anything to it, but it only plays Region 1 DVDs.
