Medion MD7950A Hack

CarlP (Harmless) posted this on Friday, 8th December 2000, 09:22

Currently being sold by Aldi for a very cheap £129.99 - DVD Times exclusively revealed the hack for this machine yesterday. To choose any region you wish, follow these instructions:

* Switch the player on at the base unit
* Open the drawer and leave open
* Using the handset type in 8926 then the required region code (1 for R1, 2 for R2 etc...)
* Close the drawer with the required DVD in
* Press play

This should do the job. For the original story, go to http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/getstory.cgi?story=1126

Thanks for the welcome Mark!

Incidentally, has anyone got any views on this player? It`s a great price but nobody appears to have one.

Just to say that its not very exclusive as the hack was posted on this forum last Sunday night - see the thread marked "is there a remote hack for the medion 7950 the one from aldis" - t.mccoy answered his own question and posted the hack here :-)

And after all that stuff with HCC copying stuff verbatim from the dvd times site too :-))))

No worries - and now realise it was Total DVD that was copying stuff from the DVD Times site not HCC - oops.
