the philips dvd-710 is but locks at 25 change needs a cold reboot to fix it/ the dvd-930 is muti-region but it costs £500/ dvd-751 is the best buy and r1/r2

panasonic well none are get it chipped

samsung well none are but the 809 is but you cant get them now golddust bye the way sumsung dont do muti-region now only r2 they like to keep the film studios happy

pioneer are not muti-region none of the models have been thats way there stuck in my shop

sharp well buy one at £500 and pay for it to chipped no its neaver as been

psx 2 theres never going to be a hack sony has seen this touble and is keeping the film studios happy sorry region 2 for you who has got one

Nice to see someone has put all the answers for all the major players in one section - unfortuantly I doubt this will help with the constant amount of people asking if thier machine is hackable rarther than looking through the forum or reading the database on this site !!!!

P.s. No I`m not being unkind - I normally have an infinate patience (I have too with my job at times) - but it has been anoying me lately !!

I just like to make a few points regarding these players mention.
all dvd players can be made mutiregion.
Most upgrades now including pionner,panasonic,phillips,sharp,goldstar lg,
samsung,sony,jvc,hitachi are software downloads.As well of course hardware mods is another choice.
playstation 2 can be made mutiregion quite easily,tried and tested.
So you see what ever the manufacturers bring there is always a way.

There isn`t a samsung MADE that can`t be hacked!!
The 709 was the FIRST widely known hack!!
And the PS2 has more than one way to do it..Michael`s is probably the cleanest and best...so PS2 owners take note!
