Page 1 of YUKAI-520-IV CAN I TURN OFF MACROVISION

Need some help.Is there a hack to turn off the macro. I have done the multi-region and it works fine. Please any help out there.

press setup. press next/previous next/ version will appear - select 255/ press down 3001 will appear press right 3000 will appear/ press down 4001 will appear/ press right 4000 will appear/ press setup select exit. machine is now macrovision dissabled for pal and ntsc and also region free.

Thanks for the help. But cant get the macro off, Used 3000 and 4000 together and 255 which works. Could it be the way my VHS is set to my DVD. When I start the tape in record the macro is still on. Im sure its me thats doing something wrong.Any help is appreciated

Yukai DVD-520 2 user hacks: Add hack
Region code and Macrovision hack
1.Power up DVD without a disk
2.Press setup on the remote
3.On the player press next,prev,next,prev. Region code should be displayed on top right corner of screen.Use the keys on the remote to:
4. Use left/right arrow keys to change region code to 255.
5. Press down arrow. 3001 should be displayed. Use left/right arrow to change to 3000.
6. Press down arrow. 4001 should be displayed. Use left/right arrow to change to 4000.

Step 4 sets region free. Steps 5 & 6 set macrovision off.

It actually work!!! Enjoy.





Region code hack
With the player switched on simply press SETUP

Next press the Volume buttons on the remote control as follows Plus + Minus - Plus + Minus - and now on the top right hand corner of your TV screen will be VER 2 this tells you your player is currently set to Region 2

Using the big blue left and right buttons as shown in the picture you can change the region code from 1 to 6 and also 255, with 255 being region free and should be selected, then press SETUP twice to finish... Your DVD player is now a MULTI REGION player!

This player also sells as the Mustek V520,

I`ve got the Mustek 520 version of this player and I can confirm that the Macrovision Hack (4001 changed to 4000) DOES NOT WORK.

I`ve also got the Mustek 56S player and the Macrovision Hack (4001 to 4000) DOES work.

Weird but true. Does anyone know if there are different firmware versions for the 520 player, if so can they be flash upgraded?
