Page 1 of LG 5063 need handset hack for region free please

I have just bought a LG 5063 and need handset hack to make it region free please :-)

There is no handset hack for the 5000 series LG dvd players (this includes, 5063, 5095, etc, etc)

You need a specific CD for this. Do a search for 5095 or 5093 in all forums and you will get the instructions on how to burn this CD yourself.

I managed to find some instructions for making a CD for the 5000 Series LG DVD players. Made the CD and can get menu for changing the region code but after making the change the player automatically switches itself off and on restart has reverted back to its factory setting of region 2 ??

I followed all the instructions very carefully so I am not sure what to try next?

Any helpful ideas anyone.

how do you you know it has reverted back to region 2, if you are checking this using the firmware screen then you are setting it back to region 2 as the firmware screen resets the player back to factory defaults (Region2 in your case), just apply the hack using the disk and play your other region dvd, it does work as i have a toshiba 420 and that is also an lg 5000 series clone...

Tested and player is now multi-region Yippee !!
