Page 1 of Anyone know of any hacks for the SLIMLINE-2 DVD currenlty onsale at Superdrug ?

The brand is CCE except the c`s are the other way round !

Don`t think it says which model, but theres a hack for a Superdrug machine on the "Region Hacks" forum. Can`t see Superdrug selling various models, but I`d find out for sure it`s the right one before you try it.

Used this today all worked fine :-
Region code and Macrovision hack
1.open the tray- press set up
2.press the next key
3.press the prev key
4.press the next key
5.press the prev key

ver 255 = region free
ver 1= region 1
ver 2= region 2
press left and right to change

press down key once:
ver 3001=parental control enable
ver 3000=parental control disable
press left or right key to change

press down twice:
ver 4001= macrovision enable
ver 4000= macrovision disable
press left or right key to change

press down key three times
ver 5001= vcd and svcd disable
ver 5000= vcd and svcd enable
change to ver 5000 to play vcds or svcds

Hi Doakes, please need help with this superdrug dvd hack, not to sure what im doing wrong?Can you explain the first few steps?do i open the tray manully?switch on/off?confused, help!!thanks

i had a problem on my first go too ..turn the power off and back on again with the power button on the left of the player itself ..then follow the above hack but use just the remote not the player...and make sure u do it fast and that the player picks up all your inputs ...(dont aim the contoller from upstairs in the toilet..lol)...my player now plays vcds ..thanks! ...and for the guy whose screen is in black and white try pressing the tv sys button at the top of the controller ...thanks again Doaks ..i owe u one ..

I was going to return my slimline dvd because I could`nt get vcd/svcd to work, luckily I found this thread and followed DOAKES hack and got it all going, cheers mate, its now all singing/dancing. Best 50 quid I ever spent.
