I recentley changed my dvd player to multi region and i then decided to go out and buy a region 1 dvd, i can watch the film however i cant get to the main menu to access the special features. any suggestions ?

First suggestion: tell us which DVD player you own, and which R1 DVD you weren`t able to access the menu on ;-) There`s no way anyone will be able to help you otherwise.

Daft question, but can you not just press MENU on your remote - almost all players I know of automatically revert to the disc menu :-)

it is a region 1 dvd called "balck and white" and what happens is it automatically goes to the normal screen menu i can then press play and i can watch the movie.
