Page 1 of Philips 711 scrambling problem

Hello,
To cut a long story short i changed the region on my 711 using the "play 159" crack & i stupidly forgot to count & locked up my player in region 1. I then made the next stupid descision of taking the player back to currys where i bought it to have em sort it out & after a few weeks they gave the player back saying that i breached the warranty & they weren`t gonna fix it.

Anyway, instead of just giving it back they seem to have put it in some scrambled mode where the front display panel is all messed up & just displays triangles, the dvd only plays sound though an amp, not through the tv & the on screen display is all crappy & just one colour & 1/2 the menu options have bin disabled.

Since getting it back i got an all 4 one remote & got the player going all regions again so i can still watch dvds but its still completely scrambled & id like to get it back to how it was b4. Any help would be much appreciated !!

P.S. Ive tried burning a flash disk & entering in a few codes on the remote but neither of those did any good

em....What Curry`s did was completely ilegal....

YOU DID NOT VOID THE WARRANTY.....The machine was unopened........and you could have stumbled across the codes just by messing around with the remote.......

If they have deliberatley damaged your machine....THEY ARE LIABLE.........

As a former employee of DIXONS GROUP.....I want to see them burn in hell.........

Send me an e-mail and we`ll sort this out.......and if neccessary we`ll look into legal proceedings.......

P.S....tell me where you live as well.....if your close we can get this sorted before christmas!.......
