I did this to try and hack it after being told by someone:

1) Power on player with no disc in tray
2) Press PAUSE
3) Key in 314159 (The display will now show "CODE 00")
5) Select your chosen region. For multi-region, select 0
6) Press PAUSE again
7) Power off player
8) Wait for a while, turn it on, and away you go.

I tried doing that with my LG DVD-3200E (which I bought in the UK). I powered it up when there was no dis inside. I then press paused on the remote, keyed in 314159. But I had no display giving the region code! I pressed 0 anyway, and press paused again and turned it off, but I have no clue if it worked or not! If someone knows how to help, please explain!!
