Page 1 of Help me! I need a region 1 hack code for my Philips 701!

I`ve recently recieved a Philips DVD701, and several REGION 1 discs.
The 701 may be able to change output from PAL to NTSC, but it seems
as though it is unhackable! I`ve searched everywhere i can think of, and i still cannot find the remote hack code. Can you help me here, cus i really can`t be buggered to have a warranty voiding chip whacked in it!?

Hello...I know this is an old message, but I`m just curious to find out if there was ever a way to hack the 701? I`m a bit behind the times, but was hoping there had been a way to make it multi-regional. Mine is region 2 at the moment. I have a few American DVD`s & would like to find out if I can make it multi-regional or just wait until I buy another one? Don`t really want to buy another one yet..........
