Was going to publish a request for a hack for the Pioneer DV 530 but after reading this one, I don`t need to.

You say it needs a software download or upgrade chip..... I don`t really want to do the upgrade chip option, so how does the software download work?

Where do I get one from and is it a case of burning the code onto a cd then inserting it in the player?

You have to send the player to us so we can download the software .
This makes it mutiregion manual and auto
