Does anyone have the multi region hack for the Prism DV302?

Hack is the same as Cyberhome CH-DVD 402


1. Press the Open/Close button on your remote control to open the drive tray

2. Press the Setup button on your remote control

3. Using your remote control, highlight but do not select the Exit Setup option in the menu

4. Press the buttons 1, 3, 6 and 9 on your remote control, in order, one at a time

5. Press the Left button on your remote control, three times, in succession

6. Press the Right button on your remote control

7. Select the new Version option from the menu

8. You will now be able to change the value to 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2, and so on, or 0 for multi-region playback

It worked for me, hope it works for you.

Ok man I do this and It comes up version I click on it and it comes up a screen that says Version Page
it has Version 00.00.08.03
Sub-ver 4b.02.03.03
8032 00.0b.08.03
Servo 00.00.BA.08
Risc 00.00.08.03
DSP 01.03.02.09
Region Code 2

It comes up in Green Highlight but I can`t change it from region 2

Can u help?

Also is this DVD player VCD compatible if not is there any hacks

i did this today and it worked i simply set it to 0 and it plays my region 1 and 2 dvd`s plus my home svcd`s

I also had this problem and sat playing with the controller until I stumbled on how to do it. Once you enter the Version option screen press the right button on the remote this changes the highlighted region code from green to pink. You can now change the region by using the up and down arrows to the one you want.
Change the highlighting back to green using the the left or the right arrow again I can`t remember and then exit.

I have done this but the dvd player won`t play dvd+r discs

I bought a Prism DV-302 on 2 May. I have tried this hack but there is no "OPEN/CLOSE" button on the remote that come with it. Is there any way around this problem? I have tried this with the door being opened on the machine than the remote but to no avail.

is this the unit from Safeway for £55?? My mate bought one of these and I am trying to find a hack for it..any ideas?

My mother bought this player and I did the hack for her. I don`t remember any problems. I simply ignored the reference to open/close. Make sure the disc tray is empty though and if need be turn the m/c off and then on and make it the first thing you do. I`m sure you`ll get there in the end. The player is based on the latest budget mediatek chipset like what seems like 100 other players. As far as I know the firmware isn`t dvd+r friendly and has problems recognising and using them but as I use dvd-r its not a problem. On the bright side the mediatek chipset has superb error correction for discs so is ideal for reading copied dvds and does a better job than most jap players.

this is the crack, it came from the the people who make the dvd players. i got in contact with them and asked them direct. it works cuz ive tried it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ps: follow the instructions word by word!! the disk draw needs to be left open

Prism DV-302 Region Crack

1. Power on
2. Eject the disc drawer so that it is open
3. Press Setup
4. Type in 1369
5. Press Left, Left, Left, Right
6. A new menu item called Version should appear, scroll down to this and press Enter
7. Region Code should be highlighted in Green, to change this press Right (the colour should change to Pink) and use the Up and Down arrow to alter the region code (0 is multi-region)
8. Press Left to revert the colour to green and then select Main Page
9. Select Exit Setup to save the settings
