URGENT...WHARFEDALE 750s HACK NOT WORKING...HELP!!

I have hacked the 750s correctly (2nd generation machine) and the player stated region free. on playing a region 1 disc the picture judders. though it accepted a region 4 disc ok. can anyone please help or should i take the player back to tesco. thanks. julian.

When I tried my first R1 disc I had the same problem I set the tv setting to auto and it has been ok ever since.
