Page 1 of LG 5063 hack gone wrong please help

, i tried thier hack at www.area450.co.uk/lg5083hack.htm on my brothers LG5063. worked a treat...


2nd unfortunately , i tried a hack using the remote control from instructions designed for a similar model, (not similar enough..) now the LG works fine except the screen is in green even when playing movies,,,, any ideas totally appreciated

I`ve got the same problem - all the DVD`s I bought in Hong Kong are purple. Local DVD`s work fine.

I think you will find that if you undo the hack (i.e. put the 4th and 7th bytes back to what they were, assuming you did the vcd and svcd hack) it will be fine.
Apparently you only need to change those bytes to 10 (not FE) and it will be fine.
FE sets the player to ntsc mode as well as enabling the svcd/vcd hack
