is there a code to change regions for software modified 530s?

It all depends on the firmware that was downloaded.

If you have an Auto Pioneer mod then why worry. If RCE disc then either the mod will handle it correctly anyway or you may need to put a R1 disc in before hand.

I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED A PIONEER DV-530
AND THE HACK WAS SUPPLIED WITH IT BY MARTIN DAWES.
REMOVE ANY DISK FROM THE DRIVE AND SWITCH OFF.
USING THE REMOTE FOLLOW THESE STEPS
1. PRESS STANDBY TO SWITCH ON
2. WAIT UNTIL DISPLAY SHOWS NO DISK
3. PRESS SET UP
4. SCROLL ACROSS TO GENERAL MENU
5. SCROLL DOWN TO BASIC MODE
6. PRESS ENTER
7. PRESS DISPLAY BUTTON (THIS NOW SHOWS REGION MODE)
8. PRESS CONDITION MEMORY BUTTON
9. PRESS 1-TO CHANGE TO REGION 1
10 PRESS DISPLAY BUTTON (SHOWS NEW REGION MODE)
11. PRESS SET-UP AND THE JOB IS COMPLETE.
TO REVERT TO REGION 2 DO THE SAME AS ABOVE PRESSING 2
IN STEP 9. INSTEAD OF 1
THIS WORKS BRILL ON MINE I HOPE IT DOES ON YOURS
