Page 1 of No colour on my R1 dvds

I bought a Wharfdale dvd 750 from tesco and it shows all R1 and R2 dvds the only problem being my R1 dvds only show up in black and white on my TV (wharfdale as well)

How do I sort this out ?

This caused either by the wrong video out setting on your DVD or the fact the TV can`t handle NTSC or PAL60 input.

Check the 750 setup and ensure that video out is set to either PAL60 or (preferably) AUTO, in AUTO mode the player will set the video out to match what it is playing.

Also in order to see a colour picture, your TV will need to be cabable of handling NTSC or PAL60 input - check the user manual for your TV to verify whether any setup is required.

Once you`ve satisfied these two requirements and made any adjustments deemed necessary, then all should work fine.

let`s explain correctly shall we.....

your TV has to be able to accept an RGB signal from the DVD......most new TV`s are able to do this.....

and TV`s with more than one scart have one RGB input and the other as Composite..... so try the other scart connection.....

oh..and you must have a SCART lead that carries the RGB signal...some of the cheaper ones dont......

My dvd player is the orion dvd 2000.It only cost 185 poumds b ut it has a multi reigon thing which is pretty cool.The first reigon one i bought was scream 3.I put in and `s***!` it was in black and white.My t.v was rather old but it did have a scart.I took my dvd to my brand new t.v downstairs and it was in colour.Upstairs it was still in black and white.I thought that i would just accept that my t.v couldn`t handle ntsc bla bla.Then I bought final destination, i put it in my dvd player and `whoa!` it was in colour!then i put scream 3 in, and it was in colour! now all of mr reigon ones are in colour.Strange huh?

PS-I have hannibal on vcd!
