press "SETUP" enter 13791100 and then use the direction keys to change the region code

Probably don`t need the 1100 bit - try it without - should work :)

I got the hidden setup menu, but can`t change the Region with the direction buttons on the remote. It just stays on Region 2 (and is highlighted in green). Please help!

I got the same and that came frome the manufacturer

Sounds like the OSD glitch that causes a lot of MediaTek MT1379 version 2 powered players to falter at this screen (eg Tevion HT95, Sampo DVE-P1, the entire Ronin range).

Chances are only way to change the hack is via a firmware upgrade which reactivates the functionality of the 1379 page :(

Region hack for Crown CDV1500. Press setup use cursor buttons to move to "preference" (T/V screen with a tick in it) enter 13791100 only region code is then displayed change to required region with cursor up/down buttons. this does work.

Thanks to Dennis C - The Region Hack works fine on my machine just bought from Morrisons!!

However - does anyone know if there`s a way to turn off the Macro function on these machines?!!

cool this work nicly cheers,im guessing the 0 region is ok.

:D just hacked my cdv1500 with the tip of entering the code at the preferance piont not straight away tryed that and got the smae problem as everybody else so took the tip went to the preferance tab and put in the code and the reigon poped up easy to change .
hope this is some help and thanks for putting the hack up in the first place.
