Page 1 of Region code hack needed for Sharp player DV-SL10X

I need a region hack code for this dvd player...have searched high and low without success. PLEASE HELP!!! It`s currently region 4 coded (Australia, New Zealand, etc), but I want to be able to play any region (but especially region 1)

All you need to do is telephone Sharp Australia, Customer Care and ask them for the "Multiregion hack" for your DVD player.

They will send you out a disk and instructions on how to do it.

I contacted Sharp as you suggested (via email) and the reply was to quote parts of the manual stating how the player was only for region 4 dvds.

Any ideas as to what I should do now?

no...still no success. Not sure what happened to maxsim, thought he/she might have had the answerf (the poster that gave a url for a hack, but it was in Russian)

Did you ever manage to find a hack. I went through contacting Sharp and got no help at all. This is the only player I`ve been unable to region free. Thanks, Brad.
