Page 1 of HELP. CANNOT REGION HACK MATSUI DVD110

Please help I have just brought a Matsui dvd110 and have tried the remote region hack loads of times and loads of different ways, mainly menu 9 5 openclose etc. I Just cannot get it to work.It has macrovision firmware version 4. And software checksum 35eb31ef. Anyone else had this problem? please please help. thanks

To change the Matsui DVD 110 to play any Region from 1 to 6, simply follow the steps below :

Make sure that there is No Disc in the DVD player.

Press MENU, 9, OPEN/CLOSE, 5

Press the Mute button on your remote control when presented with the region selection page

The word ALL will appear on the screen and your player will now play discs from any region

Cheers but i`ve tried that about 30 times and it just won`t work.
As soon as I press open/close, the tray opens and supposedly this isn`t supposed to happen, and I get no region menu!!!
