samsung dvd 511 wont hack????

Trying to multiregion hack a samsung dvd 511 and have followed the simple instructions (play/stop, select language, repeat 38767, etc). Nothing happens at this point and apparently the region code (2) should appear before it can be changed. Is it a newer firmware version or am i missing something???? thanks.

Have you tried both hacks??
There are two models. Try the oritron 600 one.
Place an audio cd in the drive.
Press open/close on the remote to close the tray
Press menu on remote
Press 1 on remote
Press index (1 All) on remote
Press open on remote
Press 1 on remote
This will enable vcd playback but this machine is very picky about what types of cd it will play. So far I have only 2 out of about 20 tried that actually play.

How about vcds then? Got two that play fine, and about 10 that play on my computer (crap) but the matsui rejects them. The two that work have a Sort of start up on them that says vcd by so and so but all the others go straight into the film!!!! Any ideas?

Can anybody tell me if it is possible to get rid of macrovision on this machine. I own the newer model which uses the menu, 1, 6, 7 version of the region hack. Please help!!!!!

Can You disable macro vision on this player without buying extras, or can you just get/make a scart lead with only certain pins connected, which will only allow colour and sound to be passed to the vcr??????

Had no problems so far apart from a few jumps on hired dvds but the`re probably just dirty. All sorted now both Hacks in and working. Thanks for the help.

I`ve got it to work by doing menu, 1, 6, 7, then mute. Now I just need it to play vcds. Any ideas?

HELP matsui 110 wont hack

I`ve tried about 50 times to remote hack my matsui110, and it just will not work. When I get to the stage of pressing open/close the tray opens and it should not do this. Has anybody else had this problem and got around it somehow?

Cheers but i`ve tried that about 30 times and it just won`t work.
As soon as I press open/close, the tray opens and supposedly this isn`t supposed to happen, and I get no region menu!!!

Please help I have just brought a Matsui dvd110 and have tried the remote region hack loads of times and loads of different ways, mainly menu 9 5 openclose etc. I Just cannot get it to work.It has macrovision firmware version 4. And software checksum 35eb31ef. Anyone else had this problem? please please help. thanks
