Page 1 of Region hack for Samsung 709?

hello,

A friend of mine has one of these players but cant get the remote hack to work that is on this site. He has had the filmware upgrade after the matrix never worked. will this have made any difference, if not is there another hack he could try?

Yes, we have a number of reports that recent 709 firmwares do not support handset hack. try one4all "aiwa" hack, it always works,

This lists all the Hacks and has lots of other info. Personally I used the
`Double Cold Start` hack with a One-for-all 5 topline (internal modem for codes updated via web site & sound system)

Surely you must mean the Samsung 511/611 etc. and clones (e.g. Hitachi 305)!

All Samsung *709* firmware versions of 3.23 and later are hackable using the standard remote.
