I have a DVD-750, but the hack doesn`t work (open, 0, 1, 2, 3, play). Can anyone offer any adivce or does anyone know of any other hacks for this machine.

Doesn`t work? Describe the symptoms.

I get Audio, but the picture flickers up and down the screen. The `flickering` continues after I`ve removed the disk and the unit returns to the `DVD` title screen - the only way I can get rid of it is to turn the unit off and on again

open the tray, press 0,1,2,3 and press enter ! not play

Dont forget to have a region 1 disc in the tray!

I`ve been having the same problem, so I look forward to trying the `enter` not `play` routine when I get back. I`m in Kuala Lumpur, and see things called Video CD`s cheap..anyone know if they will play, and what they are like?

Sounds to me that it is your tv that is the problem. If you are playing a R1 NTSC disc the player will be sending out an NTSC signal. Your TV might not be able to switch to the higher refresh rate (60hz as opposed to 50). Some TVs can be made to work by adjusting the hold controls. Check to see if your TV is mult-standard (PAL and NTSC).

Many thanks for the advice, especially Dunc. I tried 0,1,2,3 enter with the player hooked up to my portable and.......No problems!! Thanks again, guess I just need to buy a new tv!
