Dos anybody know of a region hack for this DVD player?

hi my names robert i have been looking everywhere for the code for this.... did you have any luck finding it? if so can you help.

a frustrated and heavily supplied region US dvd person.....

Robertoe, did you receive any news about a hack for the Alba 50Xi player. I`ve just bought one and desperately need the hack too. Does anyone have the answer?

I just cracked one of these using the crack for other Alba machines, by

1. Open the disc tray using the button on the player, not the remote
2. enter 3 3 8 8 (a small white block will appear toward the top left corner for each number. Wait for this to appear before pressing the next number)
3. Press the number for which region you require. 0 is the best choice as it means to don`t have to play around with it every time.
4. Close the disc tray using the button on the player, not the remote
5. Watch something great from somewhere you`re not supposed to

Hi Cris,

Just tried your hack, but it doesn`t seem to wanna work.

The white blocks do appear, but only 3.

Open tray (on player)
Press 3 (1 block) 3 (2 blocks) 8 (3 blocks) 8 (back to 1 block) then press 0 for the region then close the tray (on the pleyer) but still says "Wrong region"

AAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Am I jusat doing something wrong ??

I`m now happy, got it to work :)

1. Turn on DVD player
2. Open disc tray using the OPEN button on the REMOTE
3. Press 2812
4. A menu will appear
5. keep pressing enter untill 9 appears
6. Now it`s ready ;)
