Hi, I`m new to the whole region hack thing. My question is whether or not the Sampo DVE-660 can read any Region DVD and play on any TV without any hack. I was reading a site and it suggests that is the case. Specifically, I am interested in playing Japanese DVD`s in the States. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

I bought a Sampo 620 living here in the US and it works great, on everything. The 620 & 660 use the same codes as you find on this web site. I can play all 6 regions to a NTSC (American) TV with no problems, I think Japan uses NTSC anyway.
