Wharfedale M5 owners - please try this...

clayts (Elite) posted this on Sunday, 8th April 2001, 22:47

Press SETUP on your remote, followed by 3,7,7,7,4

Hopefully, just hopefully (if my intuition is right) this should take you to a hidden loopholes menu.

Can someone please confirm...

Okay, try these two :

SETUP and 3,8,8,8,3

SETUP and 5,9,0,4,1,9

Apparently the M5 is a clone of the Digitron player, which is based on a Sampo player !!!

Keep me posted, statman !

Yep, the hack ok dvdtimes works a treat!

It works like this;

* Remove any discs from your machine
* Go into the setup, and press 62836 and press Enter.

I`m sure you can work out the rest!

Neat player, go buy one!

Very very interesting. Ignoring the decimal point 62836 is twice pi (3.1418...) one of the fundamental numbers of mathematics. I seem to recall that pi also featured in the hack for LG and Aiwa machines.

Paul or Snafu,

I presume this hack is a multi-region hack ??

Have you tried it with RCE disks ??

If you`ve had a 750 or 750S previously how does it compare ?

Cheers

Chris

Yep, it`s a multi region hack. You can either specicially set the region to something, or there is an option at the bottom - `Region All`

I`ve not tried it with any RCE discs, I don`t have any.

As for comparing it with the 750/s, I can`t help there either I`m afriad.

Paul...

Hey Snafu

Hey Snafu

Good spot, that one.

OK, if you`re good with numbers, what is 5,9,0,4,1,9 all about (the Macrovision hack on old Sampo players). The only connection I can see is numbers 1-3 total 14, as do numbers 4-6.

Any ideas ?

This may help M5 owners crack the Macrovision.....
