Page 1 of MEDION Portable DVD Player MD 42167

Does anyone know of a multi region hack for a Medion Portable DVD MD 42167.

I`ve tried all of the Medion Hacks but with no luck.

The player was brought from Toys R Us and I can`t even find it on the Medion website.

PLEASE HELP

Hi,

it`s easy as starting a dvd ;)

1. When playing a DVD, press stop on the DVD Player to ensure that the disc is not spinning. (You may even want to remove the disc from the playing unit.)

2. Using the remote control, press the "Set-Up" button and advance to the far right-hand tab "Preferences".

3. Enter Code # 1379 then use the "up & down arrows" to change the Region Code.

4. Once code is chosen, press enter.

Dear XLive,

Quick question on the hacking code for the Medion MD 42167 ... I have one and want to "free" it up to see DVDs from other regions besides Region 2, namely Regions 1 and 4. My question is, do I need to re-enter the code above (1379) every time I switch back and forth from one region to the other, or is this code (or another) valid to hack the code once and for all?

Has anyone sucessfully used this hack recently.

I purchased this portable player from Toys R Us in September. I have tried using the Hack but no menu with the region code is brought up.

I assume I`m not doing anything stupid - You only need to put the number in via the remote when at the preferences page don`t you I don`t need to press anything else!!
